Paddle For Heroes to Travel Through Dresden

Paddle for Heroes is about to head out for their 7th Annual Mount Vernon to Marietta 160-Mile (6-day) Awareness Paddle which will take them once again through Dresden. This year this non-profit group is dedicating the paddle in honor of Danville Police Officer Tom Cottrell who was killed in the line of duty on January 17, 2016. Participants are made up of Veterans, First Responders, and their families. Paddle for Heroes will be staying at the Dresden River Park on Sunday, June 11, and will arrive at approximately 6:45 p.m. The community is invited to cheer them on and show their support as they arrive.
