Frazeysburg Lions Club summary from March to end of May

The Ohio District 13 OH-7 Lions Convention was held this March at Crossroads Ministry Center 2095 W. Fair Ave. Lancaster, Ohio. Frazeysburg Lions Club had, Sec/Treas. Dan Osborn and wife Ruth, Membership Chairman Charlotte Jenkins, Tail twister Earl Paazig, Zone 3 Co-Chair. Jeff Garver and member Kathy Moran attending. District OH7 is in 17 Counties with 53 Lion, 2 Lioness and 20 Leo Clubs this year. Serving on the State and District Ohio Lion Eye Research Foundation, and C.O.L.E.B. is Lion Earl Paazig and Lion Dan Osborn is serving as District’s Treasurer and Compliance Coordinator.
Frazeysburg Lions Club received the following from Governor Mary Bumpus at the business session on Saturday for doing many projects and serving during her year July 2022 – June 2023:
• Governor’s District Contest 3rd Place plaque in the 15 to 24-member size clubs.
• Certificates and metals for:
- District OH 7 Humanitarian Award medal and Certificate for donations made to 9 or more Local, District and State projects.
- District OH 7 Service Award medal and certificate for the club completing 15 or more of the Local, District or State projects.
- Russ Williams Chapter medal for donations made to The Lions Clubs International Foundation to help people in need all over the world.
• Certificate of Appreciation certificates from
- Ohio Pilot Dogs Lions Club International Foundation, Ohio Lions Eye Research Foundation Inc. for supporting Research into the Causes of Blindness, Ohio Lions Foundation, Central Ohio Lions Eye Bank for supporting the mission of the Central Ohio Lions Eye Bank
• The Central Ohio Lions Eye Bank Helen Keller Sight Saver award plaque was presented to Lion Earl Paazig in recognition of those who help Hasten the day when there shall be no preventable blindness.
• Lion Dan Osborn received District OH-7 certificate and pin for being an excellent secretary and treasurer for this Lions year for the club.
• Received from Lions Clubs International a Membership Satisfaction Award banner patch for a membership gain in 2020-2023
Lions helped the FRA with the annual Easter Egg Hunt. The Club provided three chocolate bunnies in each of the three groups and fruit drinks and cookies for all.
Frazeysburg Lions members Jeff Garver Dan Osborn and Earl Paazig attended the 102nd Ohio State Convention May 19 – 21, 2023 at the Marriott Columbus Northwest. The state recycling project was to bring clean Pill Bottles for the Matthew 25 Ministries in Blue Ash, Ohio. The Frazeysburg Lions took over 348 and the total was over 13,000.
The International President Award pin was presented by 1st Vice President Dr. Patti Hill to Lion Dan Osborn for his outstanding service to Lions Clubs International. Two other Lions in the state received this award.
At the Tri-Valley High School Senior Awards night May 22, Zone Chairman Jeff Garver presented $1000 Frazeysburg Lions Education Grants to Anna Scheurman.
