Y On The Fly Bringing Healthy Snacks, Games, STEM / STEAM, And Senior Programming To You

Maybe you have seen the colorful “Y On The Fly” van driving around Muskingum County or parked at Goddard Avenue Park, the Library, the Center For Seniors, and thought, Huh, I wonder what that is all about.

Y On the Fly is a program developed by the Buckeye Family YMCA to provide all people access to resources that help them learn, grow, and thrive, no matter where they live. That usually requires a trip to the Muskingum County YMCA, but this summer the Y ON THE FLY program is a mobile YMCA program delivering healthy snacks, games and activities, STEM / STEAM activities, and Senior/ Active Adult programming to youth and seniors in underserved neighborhoods. The program is FREE to the public and NO REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!

The mobile van will be making stops through August 11th, 2023, in various neighborhoods around Muskingum County. They will offer at least 60 minutes of activities at each stop they make, with the remaining 30 minutes spent preparing nutritious snacks.

The program is graciously sponsored by the J.W. & M.H. Straker Charitable Foundation, and the Zanesville-Muskingum County Health Department.
