In the much anticipated battle between East Sciotoville Tartans and the Bishops, Rosecrans took the early lead with a 15-yard rushing touchdown with ten minutes to go in the first quarter, however they missed the extra point and the lead was established at 6 – 0 against East.
Two minutes later the Tartans took a 15-yard touchdown of their own and sprang for the two-point conversion and made it happen taking the lead from the Bishops with a 8 – 6 score.
Rosecrans got the ball back but didn’t hold if for long as East grabbed a short-yard touchdown to pop the score up to 14 – 6. Again the Tartans tried for a two-point rush and succeeded padding their lead and ending the first quarter up 16 – 6 over the Bishops.
Rosecans came back in the middle of the second quarter to take a 30-yard touchdown closing in on the lead at 16 – 12, after the play the Bishops passed the ball trying for a two-point conversion that was successful bringing the lead within reach at East 16 – Bishops 14.
With just one minute to go in the half, the Tartans dove through the end zone to get another six points and after failing the two-point try they were up 22 – 14. The Bishops were not going to let that stand as soon as they got the ball back they made their way down the field and completed a short touchdown and were able to complete the two-point conversion and tie up the game at 22.
To liven up the end of the half East answered back with another touchdown on a 45-yard rush but missed the extra two points to end the half up 28 – 22.
After halftime the Tartans pulled out another 31-yard touchdown run followed by a two-point conversion to bring their lead to 36 – 22 with only five minutes left in the third. As with the rest of the game, the Bishops answered back with a 35-yard rushing touchdown and a two-point conversion to make the score 36 – 30 to end the third quarter.
East put on the final touches in the fourth quarter by adding one more touchdown to their score but failed the two point and ended the game up 42 – 30.
