Agritourism continues to grow in popularity and families are looking for new and exciting places to visit, especially close to home. There could not have been a better time for Lake’s Sunflower Field to open in Muskingum County. The field offers a lush flowing field of bright, beautiful sunflowers at their 4th generation family farm in Norwich.
This must see destination has provided the perfect backdrop to hundreds of photos for families and professional photographers alike. Along the paths through the over five acre spread there are various photo opportunities with props such as a tractor, doors, a vintage trunk, chairs and even an old upright piano perfectly placed to capture memories among the flowers.
“We were looking for something different on the farm,” stated co-owner Jen Lake. We’re expecting and I’m trying to do something from home too.” Jen is also works for the school system.

Lake’s Sunflower Field, located at 10965 Norfield Road, Norwich, will only be open through this Sunday, August 27. Hours are 4 p.m. to sunset on Friday, and noon to sunset on both Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $5 per person (infants are free).
If you can not catch them this year, be sure to make this new family friendly destination a part of your plans next summer. There are some improvements in the works for 2024 already including the possibility of new varieties of sunflowers and a slightly different setup to enhance the visitor experience.
