Coach Dani Lamonica’s TVHS volleyball team improved their record to 7-3 in MVL play and 7-6 overall on Tuesday night, Sep. 19, as the Lady Dawgs defeated the host West Muskingum Lady Tornadoes 25-12, 25-14, 25-11.
Eva Dittmar led the winners with 13 kills, followed by: Ingrid Dittmar (five kills, 25 assists, two blocks), Kenzie Albertson (four aces, 14/14 serving), Sami Cameron (four kills), Caity Journey (four digs), Annika Collet (four kills), Landyn Andrews (four digs) and Grace Moore (four assists).
On Monday night, Sep. 18 at home vs. visiting River View, Tri-Valley defeated the Lady Bears 27-25, 25-15, 25-15 and were led by Ingrid Dittmar’s 24 assists and six digs, followed by: Eva Dittmar (15 kills, six digs, and five blocks), Iris Lacy (five kills), Landyn Andrews (six digs), Annika Collet (six kills), Caity Journey (five digs), Addison Wilson (three aces and 100% serving), and Sami Cameron with two blocks.
Back on Thursday night, Sep. 14 at home vs. Morgan, the host Lady Dawgs defeated Morgan 25-12, 25-15, 25-20 and were led by Eva Dittmar’s 21 kills while Annika Collet and Sami Cameron had eight blocks each. Ingrid Dittmar passed out 19 assists, Caity Journey made eight digs with 13-of-13 serving, Landyn Andrews was also 13-of-13 serving and Collet added five kills for the winners.
On Tuesday night, Sep. 12 at Crooksville, Tri-Valley defeated the host Lady Ceramics 25-11, 25-15, 25-9 and were led by: Kenzie Albertson (19/19 serving, 4 aces), Caity Journey (12 digs), Eva Dittmar (17 kills), Annika Collet (7 kills), and Ingrid Dittmar (21 assists, 4 aces, 4 blocks).
On Monday night, Sep. 11 at home, the Lady Dawgs were defeated in five sets by visiting Indian Valley. Tv was led by: Ingrid Dittmar with 35 assists and four blocks, Eva Dittmar with 23 kills, Annika Collet with 9 kills, Caity Journey with 22 digs, Landyn Andrews with 13 digs. Caity Journey was 16/16 serving.
On Thursday night, Sep. 7 in Dresden before a big crowd at The Dawg House, the Lady Dawgs hosted defending Muskingum Valley League champion Sheridan and gave the home throng their money’s worth before falling in four sets – 16-25, 19-25, 25-23, 26-28 – to the perennial conference powerhouse Lady Generals.
Tri-Valley senior Eva Dittmar got her 1,000th career kill in the Sheridan game. Statistical leaders for the Lady Dawgs in the Sheridan loss were: Digs – Eva Dittmar with 10, Caity Journey with 8; Serving – Landyn Andrews 13/13; Assists – Ingrid Dittmar with 38; Blocks -Annika Collet with 4; and Kills – Eva Dittmar with 2, and Annika Collet with 7.
On Saturday, Sep. 9 at Newark, the Lady Dawgs fell to the host Lady Wildcats 22-25, 20-25, 27-25, 24-26 in a non-conference game.
Lady Dawg sophomore Ingrid Dittmar reached her 1,000 career assist, finishing with 28 assists, five aces, five digs and 100% serving in her team’s loss to the Wildcats. Also for Tri-Valley: Eva Dittmar hit 15 kills with five digs, Annika Collet chipped in 10 kills and four blocks, Caity Journey made 10 digs with 100% serving, Addison Wilson had four aces and Kenzie Albertson three aces and Landyn Andrews was also 100% serving for the black and gold.
