Dresden’s latest new business, Main Street Pizzeria co-owned by Dresden, Ohio natives James Tackett and Amanda Reisinger will be opening soon this September. The new restaurant located at 705 Main Street, Dresden boasts a spacious dining space and an extensive menu bringing freshly made pizzas, subs, pastas, and even desserts. Yes, Tackett’s locally famous no-bake cookies are back!
The fresh ingredients and the addition of homemade desserts are two of the areas where Main Street Pizzeria stands out. “The ingredients that we’re going to use are – you can’t buy better ingredients, like it’s the highest priced, best ingredients across the board that we are using. We are making our sauce from scratch, we’re making our dough from scratch, the sauce starts with something called tomato magic so it is a super fresh sauce,” explained Tackett.
“We’ve traveled a lot, we’ve eaten pizza all over the place looking for something like worthwhile that we can bring back here that know that people will love. And we found it!” said Tackett.
Taco, Hawaiian, Chicken Alfredo, Tuscan Chicken, BBQ Chicken, Buffalo Chicken, BLT and other specialty pizzas are on the menu along with the traditional pizza fare. You can also customize your pizza order and have “pizza your way” including pan cheese and traditional cheese options, cauliflower crust, flatbread, all in 12″, 14″ and 16″ sizes and if you need to go larger order the big dawg 20″ pizza. Want something other than pizza? Main Street Pizzeria has quite the spread to choose from including wings, breadsticks, loaded nachos (for dine-in guests), eight different subs in 6″ and 12″ sizes, six types of salads plus a special salad of the month, calzones, strombolis, pasta, and desserts. If you have a sweet tooth you are in luck, assorted cookies and dessert pizzas will be in stock (unless they sell out of course) and Reisinger is incorporating her 22 years of custom cake making experience to the team by offering cakes and cupcakes in addition to custom fruit pizzas, and decorated chocolate chip pizzas for customers who pre-order them.
Tackett and Reisinger are both locally minded sourcing much of their seasonal produce from local sources, their lunch meats for subs from Mill’s Bulk Food & Deli in Adamsville, their window signage from Pro Stitch Prints in Dresden and the printing of their menus from Dotson Design Studio also in Dresden.
Tackett owned a pizza shop in Dresden before and is bringing back some customer favorites the most notable of these being no-bake cookies. “No-bake cookies, that’s the big one! No-bake cookies, the pumpkin spice cookies for fall, possibly buckeyes,” added Tackett.
Everything will be freshly baked on-site. “If someone does a custom cake from me it gets baked the day before, typically decorated the day I deliver, or the day they pick up the order,” said Reisinger.
