Friends of the Library Bookstore reopens

The Friends of the Library Bookstore which first opened its doors in the fall of 1992, reopened on October 24 after being closed for a little over a month for renovations that updated the space. The selection of available books has also been refreshed.

Conveniently located on the main level of the John McIntire Library, the Friends of the Library Bookstore offers used books, magazines, and various other gently used materials for purchase. Donations of all reading materials in good condition are welcome. Outdated or items in poor condition are not accepted. Hours of operation for the bookstore are Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The bookstore operated as a fundraiser for the Friends of the Muskingum County Library System. All proceeds from the bookstore are used to support library programs like Summer Reading and Lunch and Learn as well as fund resources and materials at all six MCLS branches.
