Marching Panthers and Lil’ Muskies earn excellent ratings at OMEA State Marching Band Finals

Congratulations to both the John Glenn and Maysville marching bands on an incredible year. Both bands qualified for state and performed on November 5th at Piqua High School. Maysville, Class B, was up first at 1:15 p.m. giving an amazing performance that resulted in the band receiving two number-one ratings and three number-two ratings for an overall rating of two (excellent). John Glenn, also Class B, performed at 3:00 p.m. with their outstanding performance that earned the band an overall number two rating (excellent).

It is quite an accomplishment to make it to state finals. To put it in perspective, only around 18 Class C Ohio high school marching bands performed at state this year.

OMEA State Marching Band Finals are a two-weekend event. As we previously reported, Tri-Valley and Philo competed on the first weekend and both earned superior ratings.
