Muskingum vs John Carroll (3/29)
Back at home for the OAC home opener, Muskingum faced the Blue Streaks from John Carroll. From the faceoff the Streaks had control of the ball finding the net a total of six times to the Muskies two. The second quarter was more of an even battle with John Carroll just edging out Muskingum by one point ending the first half up 9 – 4.
Frustrated by the deficit the Muskies hit the field hard in the second half taking the third quarter by 3 – 2, however, the Streaks turned the tables and finished the last moments up 3 – 1 in the fourth quarter to round out the game score at John Carroll 14 – Muskingum 8.
Muskingum vs Otterbein (3/23)
The Muskingum men’s lacrosse team opened its OAC play against Otterbein at Memorial Stadium in Westerville, Ohio. Otterbein outplayed the Muskies 3 – 1 in quarter one but Muskingum came back in the second quarter to take a 6 – 5 lead going into halftime.
After the break, the two teams were almost at a stalemate in the third quarter until the Cardinals found the net tying up the game. The final minutes of the game were dominated by Otterbein taking a 3 – 1 score leaving Muskingum with a 9 – 7 loss.
Senior Spencer Zecchini had two goals, one ground ball, and nine shots on the goal.
