West Muskingum vs New Lexington (4/29)
On Monday in New Lexington, the boys from West Muskingum were hoping for another road win but the Panthers were ready for them. Panther’s pitcher Garrett Blosser kept West Muskingum from scoring a single run in the game. After just five innings the Panthers had built a 10 – 0 winning score.
West Muskingum vs Meadowbrook (4/26)
Meadowbrook hosted the Tornadoes on Friday. Wes Houston singled in the first inning landing a run that put the game in motion. After four innings the two teams were tied up at four points each and in the top of the fifth inning when Alston Williamson hit into a fielders-choice but a runner scored and the Tornadoes took the game 5 – 4.
West Muskingum vs Maysville (4/25)
The Panthers met up with the Tornadoes in West Muskingum on Thursday. Maysville took an early 3 – 1 lead by the end of the first inning, but West came back to get a 4 – 3 lead after a pair of singles and a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third. With three runs in the top of the fifth inning, the Panthers were back on top, but not for long as the Tornadoes gathered their wits and put together a five-run bottom of the fifth to win the game 9 – 6.
West Muskingum vs Morgan (4/23)
This time in the Raiders back yard the Tornadoes arrived in Morgan on Tuesday. A couple of well-placed singles in the top of the second inning led to a 2 – 0 lead for West Muskingum. The Raiders landed a run off of a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third, but it was the only score they would manage in the game as the Tornadoes added two to win the game 4 – 1.
West Muskingum vs Morgan (4/22)
The Raiders came to West Muskingum High School on Monday hoping to take a win against the Tornadoes. After the first two innings, Morgan was up 2 – 0. In the third inning, West Muskingum started to battle back and they took a 6 – 4 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning. The Raiders built their score back up to a 7 – 6 lead in the top of the seventh inning but in the second at-bat for the Tornadoes Alston Williamson hit a two-run walk-off homer to win the game 8 – 7.
West Muskingum vs East Knox (4/20)
The Tornadoes traveled to East Knox on Saturday to play against the Bulldogs. West M grabbed a run in the top of the second and third innings to take a 2 – 0 lead. By the top of the seventh inning, the Tornadoes were up 4 – 2 and it looked like the game was going to go their way, but in the last play of the game the Bulldog’s Caleb Armstrong hit a double bringing in the final two runs they needed to win the game 5 – 4.
