A Taste Of Ohio Wine Bourbon & Beer officially open in downtown Zanesville

A ribbon cutting on Friday, June 7 marked the official opening of Taste of Ohio Bourbon and Beer located at 524 Main Street in Zanesville.

“We specialize in carrying Ohio products only. So we have 16 wines eight bourbons, and eight beers. Our process is to rotate through all of the different wineries, breweries, and distilleries in Ohio to ensure we offer Zanesville a taste of everything there is in Ohio. One thing that we’re really proud of about our name is that our machines are set to be able to just taste it so you can really taste everything to see if you like it before making a selection,” explained owner Angela Bailey.

“In addition to that,” Bailey added, “we want to stay true to being a local supporter so our kitchen menu, as much as possible, we are sourcing from local farmers and local producers. We have a full kitchen. In addition, we cater to everyone. We have two really fantastic mocktails that my husband makes that are non-alcoholic beverages.”

Dana Matz of the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce holds the giant scissors just moments before the ribbon is cut in front of Zanesville’s new downtown business A Taste of Ohio Bourbon and Beer grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting on June 7.

This unique downtown business offers an experience unlike any in Zanesville. Their cozy atmosphere is perfect for date nights, a girl’s night on the town, or to just stop by to wind down after a long day. Besides their amazing drink selection both available to taste from their self-serve machines or to enjoy by the glass, A Taste of Ohio Wine Bourbon & Beer offers a menu of small plate offerings that pair well with the various drink options.

“We consider our menu item a small plate option so we serve things like soup, salad, a wrap, we have dips, charcuterie boards, we specialize in a bourbon salted caramel cheesecake, so small plate items,” said Bailey.

Although A Taste of Ohio Wine Bourbon & Beer just celebrated its official opening, they have been in operation for about five weeks. First with some soft openings for the first three weeks and later allowing locals to come in and to observe their reactions. “It was a huge success, people have been waiting on us for a very long time, so it was great to see people coming through the door when we put the open sign on,” said Bailey.

A Taste of Ohio Wine Bourbon & Beer is open Wednesday through Saturday from 4 to 11 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 6. You can follow them on Facebook and Instagram. For more information visit atasteofohiowbb.com.
