The Zanesville Memorial Concert Band concert on Sunday, June 30th at the Secrest Auditorium gave tribute to ‘American Heroes’. They honored veteran’s in attendance during the Armed Forces Salute when they stood when portions of ‘their song’ was played. The next concert will be Sunday, July 14th, 7 p.m. at Zanes’ Landing Park.
On July 4th I went to my daughter Jenny’s near Gratiot for lunch. My son-in-law Bill was preparing to be in the parade in Gratiot at 6:30. Before the parade I enjoyed visiting with friends from that area. Bill’s mother Judy and her boyfriend came and watched the parade with me and we ate at the Fire Station afterwards.
Robert Morris has written books that have helped people live a Christian life. I have the book The God I Never Knew and watched his video’s in Sunday School at The Fathers House in San Saba, Texas. Although Pastor Morris was confronted in the 1980’s no charges were filed and he left the ministry for two years and had counseling. I believe that during that time he repented and learned to depend on God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
Romans 4:7&8…NIV…Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him.
