Mayor Fred Wolford of the Village of Frazeysburg is excited to inform the public of improvements and changes he has made to increase the efficiency and public confidence in the community offering.
The Frazeysburg Pool has been in existence since the early 1970s and was deeded to the Village in 1974 to be used solely for the purpose of a community pool by the Tri-Valley School District.
As many fond childhood memories have been made for generations of swimmers who have cooled off in the summer months at the Pool, Mayor Wolford, and the Village Council work diligently to maintain the pool and provide recreation for many.
Most recently the restoration of one of the pool’s diving boards was complete and available to the sunbathers.
The activity was funded by two local grants; AEP Tri-Valley grant in 2022 purchased the diving board and the required cement around the diving board was purchased with a grant provided by The Schooler Foundation. In 2023 The Schooler Foundation gave the grant that satisfied the Ohio Department of Health requirements for the cement portion of the project and was poured this summer just before the 2024 season began. Many thanks to Tim Besser with Besser Concrete for the donation of additional cement needed to bring the pool into a better working order.
On June 25, 2024, Mayor Wolford and Council took a step to better serve the Community by adding Pool Supervisor Andrea Janssen to the team. Andrea’s love for the pool and the community is apparent in her daily dedication to the happenings of the pool and the customer service she provides to the patrons.
The Village of Frazeysburg Pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day; Sunday through Saturday from Noon to 7 p.m. The pool offers private parties by scheduling with Andrea at 740-817-5027.
