The Muskingum Valley Symphonic Winds perform for Celebrate New Concord July 23

Celebrate New Concord, the treasured annual summer concert series.

The Muskingum Valley Symphonic Winds(MVSW) was founded by Muskingum University Professor of Music, Dr. William Schlacks, in 1993 when the Muskingum Valley Community Band was converted to a semi-professional organization with patrons. The performances of the MVSW have had an emphasis on continuing to build an audience through collaboration and joint concerts with various Muskingum University student and faculty music ensembles as well as soloists which represent not only Muskingum University Music Faculty, but Music Faculty from universities outside of Ohio. This will be the fourth concert for the 2024 Celebrate New Concord Summer Concert Series. It will be held on Tuesday, July 23rd at 7:00 PM at Village Park, 2 West Main Street. In case of rain, the concert will be held at the New Concord United Methodist Church, 20 E. High Street. Admission is free! Come early and enjoy the New Concord Farmers Market from 4-7 p.m. at the corner of Maple and Layton.
