The Collegial Woods Trails have been revitalized, thanks to a partnership between Bimbo QSR and Muskingum Valley Park District. New benches, signs with QR codes featuring fun facts, and educational kiosks that share information about local history have all been installed. Additionally, invasive plants have been removed.
According to a survey, Collegial Woods Trails are the most used among the trails owned by the park district, with well over 250,000 visits to the trails occurring each year.
A reconfiguration of Collegial Woods Trails took place in 2020 and 2022. Linear Active, a company that plans, designs, and builds natural surface trails, volunteered and donated their services to put in sustainable trails to replace the eroded ones that had deteriorated over time.
Along with the new benches and educational features installed, Bimbo QSR employees volunteered several hours of their time to clear the perimeter of the trails and they donated gear to help in managing the property. The “Good Neighbor” program works to improve the quality of life of the people who live or work around Bimbo QSR’s work centers.
