Lady Dawgs continue to bat down all MVL competitors with four conference wins

Vs. River View (4/15 – 4/14)

Dresden’s Kenny Wolford park hosted the Lady Black Bears in their second game of two days this time with Ashlyn Davis on the mound and she was ready to show her game opening the top of the 1st striking out two and throwing the third batter into a ground out to allow the Scottie batters to step up. Alivia Reffitt hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 1st inning, driving home Murphy and taking a 2 – 0 lead right out of the gate. In the bottom of the 2nd inning, the Lady Dawgs were back at it, this time with Murphy hitting a grand slam, scoring Bell, Katelyn Paxson, and Lauren Leas to blast their lead to 6 – 0. Peterson doubled to allow Mathews to score, and she scored on the next at-bat when Holdsworth hit a single to right field. Holdsworth scored off of an error to wrap up the inning, but not before the Lady Dawgs took a 9 – 0 lead. A double from Bell and a series of errors and singles drove the Tri-Valley score up to 15 – 2 by the end of the 3rd inning. After a triple strikeout in the top of the 4th inning, the Scotties wrapped up their scoring in the bottom of the 4th inning by throwing another five runs onto the total.  McPeak tried to strike up a rally for River View in the top of the 5th inning with a single that scored two RBIs, but that was where Tri-Valley shut it down to take the 20 – 4 victory.
