Vs. Sheridan (4/15, 4/14)
The Lady Electrics hosted the Sheridan Lady Generals in Duncan Falls on Tuesday evening. Sheridan scored at the top of the 1st inning when Powell popped out to center field, giving Hall enough time to run home for a quick 1 – 0 lead. Both teams were scoreless for the next three innings. In the top of the 5th inning, C. Hall hit into a double-play, but gave A. Hall enough time to score a second run for the Generals. Clifton doubled later in the inning to score Powell, Clifton then scored on a single hit by Ranck to end the scoring for the inning with the Lady Generals up 4 – 0 over Philo. Karlee Southall doubled in the bottom of the inning for the Electrics to bring home Parker Hina to get on the board, still down 4 – 1. In the top of the 6th, Sheridan’s A. Hall hit a single to score Haas, followed by a double from Powell to bring in Hall and Watkins to take a 7 – 1 lead by the end of the inning. The next inning and a half went without a score from either team giving Sheridan the final win.
In the Previous game on Monday in Thornville, the Lady Electrics started off strong with Bri Wolfe hitting a double to left field that scored Southall, followed by Kyleigh McGraw’s double that allowed Hina and Wolfe to score for a quick 3 – 0 lead. Philo held the lead until the bottom of the 3rd inning when Sheridan’s C. Hall hit a two-run homer to center field to narrow the lead dramatically to 3 – 2. Powell scored on a dropped ball to tie up the game at 3. Sheridan started the bottom of the 4th inning with a home run to center field and a few more singles to end the inning up 7 – 3. The Lady Generals topped off their game in the bottom of the 5th with three single RBIs and a three-run homer from C. Hall to win the game 13 – 3.
In the previous week, Philo dropped a game on Saturday to Claymont, 4 – 1, after beating MVL challenger New Lexington 4 – 1 after dropping a pair of games to Tri-Valley earlier in the week.
The Electrics will host Morgan on Monday in Duncan Falls with a 5 PM game time.
