It’s that time of year again! The popular Easter time event at McDonald’s Greenhouse and Corn Maze, Spring Cuddles on the Farm, is set for this weekend, April 18 and 19, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
“The grass is green, the baby calves are being born, the greenhouses are full, the spring peepers are peeping, the redbud is in bloom. Spring on the farm is a beautiful time to celebrate new life and the Resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ,” said co-owner Susan McDonald. “We want to invite families to the farm to enjoy the fresh air, love on the baby farm animals, grab some hot, fresh donuts, and this year, our Farm to Fork Café will also be serving coffee and hot food items.”
All who attend the event are to make a donation as the entry fee. Every year, an organization is selected by the McDonalds to benefit from the proceeds from the event. This year’s organization is Transitions Domestic Violence Advocacy & Shelter. Children ages two and under are free.
Over the years, the event has helped raise money for local organizations, including Forever Dads, LifeWell, Trulight Ministries, and Transitions, amounting to approximately seven to eight thousand dollars in total.
The McDonalds started Spring Cuddles on the Farm six years ago for families and children to enjoy spring life on the farm and visit with baby farm animals, which this year includes goats, lambs, chicks, bunnies, puppies, and a calf.
Additionally, McDonald’s Greenhouse will be celebrating their 30th year in business with an open house weekend for the greenhouse set for April 25 through 27, 2025. A selection of upcoming events planned for the season can be found on the McDonald’s Greenhouse Facebook page.
