After getting shut down quickly in the first inning, West M flew out of the gate, picking up a 3 – 0 lead to end the first inning. Neither team scored another run until the top of the 4th inning when Tumblin homered over the right field fence to gain Maysville’s first run of the game. Antonetz doubled in the bottom of the inning to drive in Meddings for the 4 – 1 lead. A pair of well-placed singles at the top of the 5th almost tied up the game for the Panthers, but they were still one run shy as West M pulled out a six-run inning to end the fifth up 10 – 3. The two subsequent runs for the Panthers were not enough to overtake their hosts, and the Lady Tornadoes swept the series with a 10 – 5 win.
