Panthers baseball upset the Bishops in a late inning rally at Gant Stadium

Vs. Meadowbrook (5/14)

Maysville hosted the Meadowbrook Colts on Wednesday. The Colts grabbed the first run of the game in the top of the 2nd inning.  In the bottom of the 2nd, Trevor Hague scored on an error to tie the game a 1 – 1. A single, a double, and a sacrifice fly led to the Colts taking the lead again in the top of the 3rd inning,  leading the game 4 – 1. The Colts grabbed one more run in the top of the 5th inning while holding Maysville to their solitary run, and after seven innings, Meadowbrook took the bus home with a 5 – 1 victory.

Vs. Crooksville (5/12)

The Panthers took the bus just up the road to Crooksville on Monday to play the Ceramics. The 1st inning was scoreless for both teams and Maysville was unable to pick up any runs in the top of the 2nd inning. In the bottom of the inning Crooksville scored one run on an error, followed by Dennis stealing home for their second run, and finished up with Cottrell scoring on a single from Lane.  The game was put on weather delay before they could finish.

Vs. Bishop Rosecrans (5/10)

The Maysville baseball team headed to downtown Zanesville to face the Bishops at Historical Gant Stadium on Saturday. Rosecrans led the Panthers for six innings after picking up two runs in the bottom of the 1st inning, but Maysville had a 7th inning three-run rally to take a come-from-behind 4 – 1 win.
