Family Reading Festival Returns On May 13 At The John Mcintire Library

The Muskingum County Library System (MCLS) and the Muskingum County Literacy Council is proud to announce the return of the Family Reading Festival on Saturday, May 13, from 10 AM to 1 PM. This year’s theme is “Reading is Our Superpower,” and everyone is invited to come dressed up as their favorite superhero!

The festival is free and open to all, regardless of age, and aims to get everyone excited about literacy. Attendees can expect to see some of their favorite book characters, including Pete the Cat, Paddington Bear, Rainbow Fish, and even the legendary Taco Dragon. Costumed superheroes will also be in attendance, so be ready for some awesome photo ops!

The John McIntire Library will be transformed into a comic book wonderland, complete with superhero decor and loads of prizes, and swag from over 40 local vendors. Attendees will have the opportunity to grab free bags while supplies last.

In addition to the festivities, food trucks will be on site to keep attendees fueled up for the fun.

The Family Reading Festival is brought to you by the Muskingum County Library System and the Muskingum County Literacy Council. Don’t miss out on the chance to be a part of this incredible literary adventure, where reading is our superpower!

The Family Reading Festival also kicks-off pre-registration for Summer Reading. Make sure to mark your calendars and come out to support literacy in Muskingum County.
