On Saturday, August 18th the 12th Man Club held their annual “Kickoff Dinner” at the IBEW center in Nashport. The evening started off with appetizers and dinner served by the Varsity football team members. While the nearly 100 guests were eating their dinner they got to hear a few words from head coach Kevin Fell and the senior team members.
“We believe we can be as good as anybody on the field, I am
proud to be the football coach here!” – Head Coach Kevin Fell
Following the team as a guest speaker was Greg Meadows, who provided a brief, but enlightening history of Tri-Valley High School football. The evening wrapped up with a lively auction hosted by the Tri-Valley Middle School Football coach Ben Kennedy and 12th Man Club President Brad Richert. They were a very jovial team and did a great job of rallying the guests to spend that little bit extra for the team. All of the auction items were donated by local businesses and individuals.
The event is the 12th Man Club’s biggest fundraiser of the year. “We had a great turnout, and without the generosity of the community we wouldn’t be able to do what we do, so we thank all of the sponsors and donors, ” commented Brad Richert, 12th Man Club President.
