John Glenn Boys Soccer Celebrates Senior Night With A Big Win Against The Tornadoes

On Tuesday, September 26th, the Lil’ Muskies hosted the West Muskingum Tornadoes on Senior Night in New Concord where they honored seniors, Ashton Driggs, Jackson Blagg, Kanon Riehl, Aarav Vaishnav, Bo German and Tanner Caudill. Tanner Caudill sang the National Anthem to open the match.

Coming into the matchup John Glenn was riding on a two-game winning streak and hoping for a third. Stopping just shy of shutout the Lil’ Muskies definitely dominated the field scoring 5 goals during the first half and 2 in the second. West Muskingum had only one goal for the game that came in the first period of play.

For the night, Junior Will Nicolozakes set a school record for the most goals in a career with a 58 goal tally, he scored the record breaking goal to secure his “hattrick” for the night.

Junior Will Nicolozakes had 3 goals and 1 assist, Senior Ashton Driggs had 1 goal, Senior Captain Kanon Riehl had 1 goal, Sophomore Oakley Zamensky had 1 goal, Sophomore Devon White had 1 goal, Junior Captain Evan Haney had 2 assists, and Senior Captain Aarav Vishnav had 1 assist for the game.

On Saturday, September 30th, the Muskies fell by just one goal to Marietta in a 2 – 1 contest.

John Glenn will be facing New Lexington on Tuesday, October 10th on the road, gametime is set for 6pm.
