With Advanced Technology Testing for the Best Solutions
Genesis HealthCare System recently opened the Genesis Heartburn Center at the Genesis Center of Surgical Excellence. The center offers multiple solutions to heartburn, including two advanced testing procedures.
“Chronic heartburn is more than an annoyance. It can interfere with daily activities and cause other health problems,” said Joshua Moore, D.O., Fellowship-trained Surgeon. “At the Heartburn Center, we have advanced technology to accurately diagnose the cause of heartburn and thus enable us to treat it properly.”
Among other methods, the Heartburn Center offers the ManoScan esophageal manometry test that can often determine how well your esophagus (food pipe) is working in less than 30 minutes.
The Heartburn Center can also perform the Bravo Reflux test to measure your gastroesophageal reflux symptoms by temporarily attaching a miniature capsule to your esophagus that will transmit readings to a recorder.
