Vs. Tri-Valley (4/1)

The Lady Muskies hosted the Scotties on Tuesday and grabbed the lead in the bottom of the first inning when Delaney Bell hit a single, driving in Addison Babcock for a 1 – 0 advantage. Babcock sacrificed in the bottom of the third inning to drive in a run by Morgan Harper 2 – 0 Muskies. Libby Brown and Estelle Matheney scored on an error later in the inning to put the Muskies up by 4. Ava Miller rounded out the inning with a fielder’s choice that brought in Wunder for a 5 – 0 lead over Tri-Valley. The Lady Dawgs came to life in the top of the 4th inning to tie up the game at 5 – 5. The Scotties pulled ahead in the top of the 5th with a leading run by Keffer that brought in Wolford to end the inning up 6 – 5. Tri-Valley continued to build their lead to 8 – 5 by the top of the 6th inning.  Haylee Young sacrificed in the bottom of the 6th to bring in Morgan Harper but still trailed by two by the end of the 6th inning with Tri-Valley leading 8 – 6. By the end of the game, the Lady Dawgs took a 10 – 6 victory back home to Dresden.

Vs. Athens (3/29)

Athens traveled to New Concord on Saturday to play the Lil’ Muskies.  The Lady Bulldogs grabbed the lead in the first inning with a double by Toadvine and a single by Brannon to take a 2 – 0 spot. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Riley Wunder hit a two-run homer to center field to tie up the game. Brannon came back to score on a single to jump back out ahead 3 – 2.  In the bottom of the sixth inning, Ava Miller hit a sacrifice fly that scored the tying run to level the game at 3 – 3.  In the top of the 9th inning, Beck-Aden singled down the right field to take the lead at 4 – 3. Sigman followed up with a single to bump the lead to 5 – 3. Brannon singled to center 6 – 3, and Williams grounded out to score the final run to win the game 7 – 3.

Vs. Crooksville (3/27)

The Ceramics visited New Concord on Thursday and battled with the Lil’ Muskies for the first three scoreless innings before Elyse Baker hit a double to allow Rollison to score.  The Ceramics came back in the top of the 6th inning to have Rollison single, allowing Lundell to score, taking a 2 – 0 victory.
