Dresden & Company is honored to announce that July 10, 2025—and each year going forward—will be officially recognized as “The Bobbi and Jim Lepi Commitment to Basketmaking Heritage Day” in the Village of Dresden.
This declaration commemorates the vision, dedication, and enduring legacy of Jim and Bobbi Lepi, whose entrepreneurial spirit and deep community roots brought Dresden & Company to life on July 10, 2019. Since that day, they have remained steadfast in their mission to preserve and celebrate Dresden’s rich basketmaking tradition by employing local master artisans and revitalizing a beloved American craft.
In just five years, Jim and Bobbi have led Dresden & Company with tireless determination and selfless devotion—not only to the business but to the entire community. Their impact stretches far beyond the walls of the company. They have served on the Dresden Community Association, volunteered in countless events, supported local businesses, and played key roles in preserving landmarks such as Dave Longaberger Park and the World’s Largest Basket.
Their love for Dresden is woven into the fabric of their everyday life. As lifelong residents, they raised their three sons—Kyle, Brodie, and Hunter—in this village and now pass along that same pride and joy to their grandchildren. It’s a common sight to see Jim and Bobbi walking down Main Street, supporting local merchants and sharing the magic of Dresden with the next generation.
As Dresden & Company celebrates its 5th anniversary, the Lepis’ vision has rippled across the country, reigniting a passion for handcrafted, Made in America baskets. This week, hundreds of visitors from across the nation will gather in Dresden to honor a legacy that began with the Longaberger family and continues today through the heart and hands of people like Bobbi and Jim—people who live the American Dream through their deep connection to this special village.
