Dresden Swim Center hosted over 2000 people from Tri-County Aquatic League Championship

Dresden Swim Center hosted the Tri-County Aquatic League Championships again this year on July 16th, as the center accepted over 2,000 people, with swimmers and audience combined. Eleven swim teams in total competed on Wednesday, with swimmers from the Chevington Woods Kingfish, the Valley View Gators, Groveport, the Porpoises, Huntington Hills, the Tiger Sharks, the Dorados, the Dolphins, Granville Blue, the Sea Lions, and the Hurricanes all vying for top spots in the culmination of their summer swim seasons. The Kingfish took top marks for the day with the combined team scores of 792 points.

For the Dorados, Tyler Mohler took first place in the Mens 15-18 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 23.14. He also took second place in the Mens 15-18 100 Yard Freestyle.

Creed Fuhriman was the fourth-place finisher in the Boys 11-12 50 Yard Backstroke and he took third in the Boys 11-12 50 Yard Backstroke.. Stella Fuhriman took second in the Girls 13-14 50 Yard Backstroke. Tanner Mohler was second in the Mens 15-18 100 Yard Backstroke.

Leila Hawk was the top finisher in the Womens 15-18 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:18.26.

The Dorados team of Tanner Mohler, Coen Fuhriman, Garrett Stirling, and Tyler Mohler grabbed third place in the Men’s 15-18 200 Yard Freestyle Relay.

Matt Smith took third in the Boys 9-10 25 Yard Freestyle for the younger swimmers later in the afternoon.  

It was a great event for swimmers of all levels, from beginners to Elite, and aside from a little rain in the early evening, the weather held out for the event.
