Tri-Valley cross country Erin Hogue first female state qualifier in 11 years

Erin Hogue qualified for the state cross country meet with a time of 18.55.94, which is the fastest she’s ever gone.  It has been 11 years since Tri Valley’s last state qualifier in 2009.

As her coach, I never once doubted that she would qualify for the state meet. We have been working towards this goal since the end of last season. Last year, she was within 20 people of qualifying when we were competing in Division 1 and running against some of the fastest schools in the state. So once the new division alignments were announced and we moved down to Division 2, I knew she would be a state qualifier.

It has been an exciting season with the girls qualifying for Regionals as a team for the first time since 2019, and 4 boys qualifying for Regionals.
