2018 Tri-Valley Freshman Basketball Tournament Update

The Tri-Valley Freshman Basketball Tournament concludes today. Here are the results from the first two rounds.

Second Round Results:

Waterford boys defeated Johnstown 30-29 to win the small school boys’ division championship 30-29.  Waterford was led by Dylan Hartline with 12 points.  Gavin Warden had 16 points for Johnstown.

In the large school semi-finals, Meadowbrook outlasted Tri-Valley 44-26 and Bishop Hartley edged Logan 39-38.  Jake Singleton had 11 points and Malachi Phillips 10 points for Meadowbrook.  Luke Hill had 12 points for Tri-Valley.  Treyvhon Saunders had 9 points for Hartley while Ashton Mehaffey’s 14 and Mason Frasure’s 12 points led Logan.

Sheridan boys defeated West Muskingum 47-20.  Mason Morrison had 12 points for Sheridan while Hunter Porter led West Muskingum with 13 points.

John Glenn boys beat Licking Valley 34-20.  John Glenn was led by Chris Tooms with 11 points. 

Licking Valley girls cruised by Johnstown 28-5.  Licking Valley was led by Kallee Sayatovich with 13 points.

Gahanna Lincoln girls beat Logan 32-20.  Taylor Marcum had 18 points for Lincoln.  Logan was led by Emaurice McKinney with 10 points.

First Round Results:

Tri-Valley boys defeated Licking Valley 34-27 on Thursday evening. The Scotties were led by Jason Pletcher with 12 points and Luke Hill with 10 points. Dillan Stewart had 9 for Licking Valley.

In other boys action, Bishop Hartley defeated Sheridan 45-31.

In girls action, Licking Valley defeated Lancaster 25-16 and Newark beat Gahanna Lincoln 40-21.

Logan boys defeated West Muskingum 63-33 led by Mason Frasure with 19 points, Carson Hodson with 12 points, and Ashton Mchaffey 10 points.  Hunter Porter and Kaidyn Olney had 12 points each for West Muskingum.

Waterford boys over Ridgewood boys 36-24.  Waterford was led by Kolton Zimmer with 16 points and Peyton Powers with 10.  Andy Troyer led Ridgewood with 8 points.

Izzy Anderson’s 16 points led Lancaster girls to a 37-18 win over Johnstown.  Bailey Stranges led Johnstown girls with 5 points.

Newark girls beat Logan 33-11.  Newark was led by Hannah Wonderly with 10 points.  Emaurice McKinney had 6 points for Logan.
