A Farm Bureau Centennial logo painting now adorns the side of a cattle barn located just across Adamsville Road from the very popular McDonald’s Greenhouse and Corn Maze.

This marks the third barn hand painted in Muskingum County by artist Scott Hagan also known as the Barn Artist (check out his website barnartist.com to see all of his beautiful work). Scott has been commissioned to paint hundreds of barns among 18 states. He is best known for his 88 Bicentennial Barn paintings that he masterfully applied to barns in each county in Ohio from 1997 to 2002. One hundred paint brushes and 645 gallons of paint were used for the massive project and each one was hand sketched so no two are alike!

One of the Bicentennial paintings can be found in Muskingum County just down the road from the new Farm Bureau Centennial painting. The Colosseum at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds is another Barn Artist painting which brings the total to three in the county.

The Muskingum County Farm Bureau board who funded the project in part through a grant voted on the location. They wanted to make sure it would be positioned on a barn in a high traffic area with good visibility. The McDonald’s barn fit the bill and they are so excited to be able to give the enormous logo a home.

Several other barns throughout Ohio are getting the celebratory Farm Bureau logo painting as well including the Agriculture Building at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds which was just completed by Scott last week.

The new Ohio Farm Bureau painting took just a day to paint but it will be enjoyed for decades to come.
