Like with years past the 2020 Adamsville Homecoming will kick off with a parade on opening day, July 15, at 6:30 pm. The appropriately selected theme for this year is MASKquerade. Parade participants are asked to dress like they are in the 1920s.
Thursday’s activities include a garden tractor pull at 6 pm followed by performances by Melissa Marie School of Dance, a kid’s pedal pull and Teen Olympics, and a bonfire at 7 pm.
On the agenda for Friday are mini modified tractor pulls at 6:30 and the Sons of Maverick Band at 8 pm.
The homecoming will conclude on Saturday, July 18. A morning farm tractor pull will take place at 10 am. That afternoon bring the kids down for some games at 2 pm. Then, from 7:30-11:00 pm Jacob Lones & Band will perform. There will be a fireworks show at dusk and a raffle wagon at 11 pm.
All events take place at at Gaumer Park.
A few changes had to be made due to COVID-19 so there will not be bingo or amusement rides this year. Individually wrapped fry pies and whoopie pies from a bakery will be for sale instead of the typical homemade pies that are usually served. Social distancing rules will apply and it is suggested that attendees bring lawn chairs to events.
