Dresden’s Chief of Police, Chief Scott Caldwell’s last day will be May 26, 2023. A retirement party will be held to celebrate his years dedicated to the force and the community of Dresden on May 19 at 3 p.m. The community is welcome to stop by to congratulate Caldwell.
Chief Caldwell was only 25 years old in 1990 when he joined the Dresden Police Department. Nine years later, he was promoted to Assistant Chief. His next promotion to Chief of Police came in 2016.
The Chief of Police position has been filled, the new Chief will be announced after May 15.
