On Wednesday, July 9th, the Dresden Dorados headed down to Logan for a meet with the Hurricanes. To start the night off, the Dorados team of Lillian Cottrell, Rowan Fry, Elsie Hoover, and Emma Malone took first place in the Girls 8 & Under 100 Meter Medley Relay with a time of 2:44.65. The Dorados team of Olivia Thornton, Maddie Dougherty, Candace Louise Shipp, and Emery Stewart won the Girls 9-10 100 Meter Medley Relay with a time of 1:43.59. Likewise, for the Boys 9-10 100 Meter Medley Relay, it was the Dorados team of Ricky Tang, Henry Nicholson, Matt Smith, and Isaac Watson who had the top time of 1:51.44. Sydney Hollingsworth, Reganne Wheeler, Kenzie Gregory, and Ellie Lavery were the winning team for the Dorados in the Girls 11-12 200 Meter Medley Relay with a time of 4:01.90.
Kamden Buckner, Slate McDonald, Luke Reiss, and Troy Sharrer were the Dorados team that swam in first in the Boys 11-12 200 Meter Medley Relay. In the Mens 15-18 200 Meter Medley Relay, the Dorados, the team of Tanner Mohler, Tyler Mohler, Kollin Buckner, and Eli Woytko, took top marks with a time of 2:23.70.
Candace Louise Shipp had a time of 2:01.85 to win the Girls 9-10 100 Meter IM. Reganne Wheeler had a time of 1:58.00 to take the Girls 11-12 100 Meter IM competition. With a time of 2:02.13 in the Boys 11-12 100 Meter IM, it was the Dorados’ own Elliana Barry.
Cayla Tang was the fastest swimmer in the Girls 9-10 25 Meter Freestyle with a time of 23.58. Matt Smith led the Boys 9-10 25 Meter Freestyle with a time of 20.22. Tyler Mohler was the first-place finisher in the Mens 15-18 50 Meter Freestyle with a time of 27.06.
Kamden Buckner had a time of 39.34 for the win in the Boys 11-12 50 Meter Freestyle. Stella Fuhriman won the Girls 13-14 50 Meter Freestyle with a time of 31.53. Olivia Thornton’s time of 44.69 won the Girls 9-10 50 Meter Freestyle for the Dorados. Henry Nicholson also won the Boys 9-10 50 Meter Freestyle with a time of 44.14.
Britany Hammond had the top time of 1:18.19 in the Womens 15-18 100 Meter Freestyle, Tanner Mohler also won the Mens 15-18 100 Meter Freestyle with a time of 1:01.43. Eloise Cottrell had a time of 41.33 to take top marks in the Girls 6 & Under 25 Meter Backstroke. Lillian Cottrell was the winner of the Girls 7-8 25 Meter Backstroke with a time of 29.84. Liam Williams won the Boys 7-8 25 Meter Backstroke with a time of 32.57. Addison Dailey won the Girls 13-14 50 Meter Backstroke with a time of 49.16. The Dorado’s Britany Hammond won the Womens 15-18 100 Meter Backstroke with a time of 1:33.85.
Warren Stover took the top place in the Boys 8 & Under 25 Meter Backstroke with a time of 36.51. Maddie Dougherty had a time of 26.78 to top the Girls 9-10 25 Meter Backstroke. For the Girls 11-12 50 Meter Backstroke, Sydney Hollingsworth had the top time of 1:04.34. Kamden Buckner had a time of 58.08 to take first place in the Boys 11-12 50 Meter Breaststroke.Lydia Collet was the first-place swimmer in the Girls 13-14 50 Meter Breaststroke with a time of 41.15. Tyler Mohler picked up another top place in the Mens 15-18 100 Meter Breaststroke with a time of 1:22.02.
In the Boys 8 & Under 25 Meter Butterfly, Warren Stover took the pinnacle position with a time of 36.53. Candace Louise Shipp won the Girls 9-10 25 Meter Butterfly with a time of 22.12. With the top time of 23.57, Henry Nicholson won the Boys 9-10 25 Meter Butterfly. Reganne Wheeler had a time of 53.37 in the Girls 11-12 50 Meter Butterfly to take the win for the Dorados. Slate McDonald had a winning time of 1:08.31 in the Boys 11-12 50 Meter Butterfly. Stella Fuhriman had a top time of 35.07 in the Girls 13-14 50 Meter Butterfly for the Dorados. Tanner Mohler had a time of 30.22 to take the Mens 15-18 50 Meter Butterfly. The Dorados team of Liam Williams, Brooks Hoover, Nolan Fry, and Warren Stover won the Boys 8 & Under 100 Meter Freestyle Relay with a time of 2:04.72. In the Girls 9-10 100 Meter Freestyle Relay it was the Dorados team of Candace Louise Shipp, Cayla Tang, Emery Stewart, and Olivia Thornton who had the top time of 1:30.97. The Dorados won the Boys 9-10 100 Meter Freestyle Relay with the team of Matt Smith, Finn Snyder, Isaac Watson, and Henry Nicholson getting a time of 1:33.94. The Dorados team of Kenzie Gregory, Ellie Lavery, Reganne Wheeler, and Sydney Hollingsworth won the Girls 11-12 200 Meter Freestyle Relay with a time of 3:25.57. Likewise, in the Boys 11-12 200 Meter Freestyle Relay it was Luke Reiss, Jaxson Dailey, Slate McDonald, and Kamden Buckner with the top time of 3:15.78. Lydia Collet, Nora Breece, Addison Dailey, and Stella Fuhriman had the winning time of 2:30.50 in the Girls 13-14 200 Meter Freestyle Relay. The Dorados won the Mens 15-18 200 Meter Freestyle Relay with the team of Tanner Mohler, Eli Woytko, Kollin Buckner, and Tyler Mohler swimming in at a time of 2:06.81. In the final event of the evening, the team of Britany Hammond, Rayah Gillard, Wade Thomas, and Jaxson Dailey won the Mixed 11-18 200 Meter Freestyle Relay with a time of 3:11.52.
The TCAL championships will take place in Dresden on Wednesday, July 16t,h starting at 7:30 AM at the Dresden Swim Center.
