The local Dresden Dorados took a trip to Pataskala on Saturday, June 24th, to face the Pataskala Porpoises. The Boy’s team for Dresden grabbed first place in the second event of Boys 8 & Under 100yd Medley Relay when the team of Lane McNichols (8), Henry Hollingsworth (8), Henry Nicholson (8), and Camryn Kennedy (8) swam in at a time of 2:10.60.
The Girls 13 – 14 200yd Medley Relay was led by the Dorados team of Leila Hawk (14), Lily Grewell (14), Riley Gottardi (14), and Nora Dillehay (13) with a time of 2:14.16. The Boys 13 – 14 200yd Medley Relay saw the Dorados take first as well with the team of Tanner Mohler (13), Coen Fuhriman (13), Kollin Buckner (14), and Dallin Stirling (14) taking a time of 2:08.56.
The Dorados Women 15 – 18 team of Britany Hammond (18), Mia Fuhriman (16), Jesi Fuhriman (16), and Gabby Hensel (16) won the 200yd Medley Relay with a time of 2:14.98.
13-year-old Coen Fuhriman grabbed first place in the Boys 13 – 14 100yd Individual Medley with a time of 1:15.27. Mia Fuhriman (16) took first in the Women’s 15 – 18 100yd Individual Medley with a time of 1:12.13.
In the Boys, 9 – 10 25yd Freestyle, Creed Fuhriman (10) grabbed first place with a time of 14.75 while teammate Kamden Buckner (10) took second with a time of 18.90.
Riley Gottardi (14) got top podium position for the Girls 13 – 14 50yd Freestyle with a time of 30.64. Kollin Buckner (14) won first in Boys 13 – 14 50yd Freestyle with a time of 27.59 followed by teammates Coen Fuhriman (13), and Dallin Stirling (14) in second and third place respectively.
Jesi Fuhriman (16) swam in first at the Women’s 15 – 18 100yd Freestyle with a time of 57.89 followed by Leila Hawk (14) who had a second-place time of 1:03.15.
In the Boys, 9 – 10 25yd Backstroke, Kamden Buckner (10) had a first-place time of 23.01. Stella Fuhriman (12) took first in the Girls 11 – 12 50yd Backstroke with a time of 36.40. Tanner Mohler (13) got first place in the Boys 13 – 14 50yd Backstroke with a time of 31.06.
In the Women’s 15 – 18 100yd Backstroke, Britany Hammond (15) got first place with a time of 1:23.03. Likewise, Madison Dougherty (8) won the Girls 8 & Under 25yd Backstroke with a time of 29.08.
Teammates Lily Grewell (14) and Nora Dillehay (13) swam into the top two spots in the Girl’s 13 – 14 50yd Breaststroke with times of 37.29 and 41.14 respectively. Dallin Stirling (14) stood atop the podium for the Boys 13 – 14 50yd Breaststroke with a time of 41.36.
For the Women’s 15 – 18 100yd Breaststroke, Jesi Fuhriman (16) grabbed first with a time of 1:15.87, Mia Fuhriman (16) took second place with a time of 1:18.76, and Leila Hawk took third with a time of 1:21.62.
The Boy’s 9 – 10 25yd Butterfly saw Creed Fuhriman (10) take first with a time of 19.45. Kollin Buckner (14) took first in the Boy’s 13 – 14 50yd Butterfly with a time of 30.60. Tanner Mohler (13) took second in the same event with a time of 30.84, and Garrett Stirling (14) had a third-place time of 35.03.
Gabby Hensel (16) had a winning time of 35.60 in the Women’s 15 – 18 50yd Butterfly. In the Boy’s 9 – 10 100yd Freestyle Relay the team of Kamden Buckner (10), Henry Nicholson (8), Kendrick Kimble (9), and Creed Fuhriman (10) took first place with a time of 1:23.72.
The Boy’s 13 – 14 200yd Freestyle Relay had the winning Dorados team of Tanner Mohler (13), Garrett Stirling (14), Dallin Stirling (14), and Coen Fuhriman (13) swim in at a time of 1:58.35. Mia Fuhriman (16), Britany Hammond (15), Gabby Hensel (16), and Jesi Fuhriman (16) teamed up to win first for the Dorados in the Women’s 15 – 18 200yd Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:57.47.
The Dorados won the final event of the day in the Mixed 11 – 18 200yd Freestyle Relay when the team of Caden Blake (15), Madison Hirtle (14), Kendyll Buckner (16), and Kollin Buckner (14) swam in at a time of 2:13.87.
The Dorados were set to continue their season on Wednesday, June 28th, but the meet was postponed. They look forward to possibly making up the faceoff against the Moundbuilders Country Club Piranhas on Thursday, July 6th, or Saturday, July 8th.
