Francis and Shirley Holzschuher Honored to be 2023 Dresden Homecoming Grand Marshals

Francis and Shirley Holzschuher are long-time residents of Dresden, Francis has retired from all of his duties for the Homecoming committee and the Village of Dresden. Francis has served on the Homecoming committee for the past 33 years, where he chaired and co-chaired as a finance officer, he served on the Dresden Village Council for 26 years, and the Board of Public Affairs for four years. His granddaughter will be taking over his position on the Homecoming committee. Shirley worked for 15 years at the Longaberger Patio Shops. Francis and Shirley are both members of the Dresden First Baptist Church, and 33-year members of the American Legion.

They enjoy traveling and have traveled out West, down South, and all over East in their motor home. Shirley said, “Those were the best years!” In September Francis and Shirley will celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary.

The Holzschuhers have a Daughter Brenda (Chuck) Ford, they lost their son Brian almost two years ago to Covid. They have three granddaughters Katie (Scott) Schlegel, Scarlett (Michael) Fink, and Leigh Anne (Greg) Eppley. A great-granddaughter Grace Schlegel, and a great-grandson Lucian Eppley.
