Crooksville Lady Ceramics were outmatched from the start against the Tri-Valley Varsity girls. In a game that was never a game of catch-up, and not even a game of keep-up, Crooksville didn’t stand much of a chance against the ferocious offensive lineup that the Lady Dawgs put forth. By the end of the first half of the game the Ceramics had only put up two total scores with a point value ten-times less than Tri-Valley.
In a blaze of a start that would see the whole game set fire, the Lady Dawgs came out of the gate with so much energy that the Ceramics could barely catch a breath. The first period of the game the Ceramics landed one 3-point shot but that couldn’t hold up to the 30 points Tri-Valley dished out.
Second period was even harder to handle for Crooksville as they only got one two-point landed against another 20 points from the Scotties ending the half at a whopping 50 – 5.
After the intermission the Lady Ceramics were ready to play, they came out, worked harder, and fought tooth and nail (a little too literally) to get back into the game. By the end of the third period they had more than doubled their total score but those 12 points were a mere drop in the bucket as the Lady Dawgs landed another 24 points of their own, ending the period 74-12 against Crooksville.
In the final period of play Tri-Valley wrapped up the game with another 14 points against Crooksville’s 5. The final score of the battle was 88 – 17 in the Lady Dawgs favor. Way to go Scotties!
