Lady Dawgs Varsity Soccer Split The Difference In Last Four Games With Big Conference Wins

A pair of big conference wins bookended two non-conference losses for the Tri-Valley girls varsity soccer team.

At Kenny Wolford park on Thursday, September 1st, the Lady Dawgs went head to head with conference rivals from Morgan High School, the Lady Raiders were ready to head home early on when the Scotties took the early lead. The girls went on to shutout Morgan and grab a massive 12 – 0 win. Leading the scoring was freshmen Ella Knowlton who had three goals and an assist. Marley Labishak and Kiana Reynolds both contributed two goals. Emma Pratt set up scoring handing out three assists. Ali Yingling and Bailey Woods contributed to the shutout in goal with a defense led by Lauren Cox, Kiley Secrist, and Bella Lazar.

Saturday, September 3rd, the girls met up with Fairfield Union on their home field. Fairfield put up a huge fight holding the Scotties scoreless but they managed to squeeze out a point for themselves to take home the victory.

The following Monday, September 5th, the Lady Dawgs hosted Wooster High School in a battle that left the Scotties scoreless again with the Wooster girls landing four goals on them before the game was over.

The Lady Dawgs hit the road Wednesday, September 7th, headed to Maysville to face their conference foes. Tri-Valley won 5 – 0 behind two goals a piece from Nevaeh Peffers and Katie Davis. Also adding a goal was Maddie Garber. Ali Yingling was in goal and had one save in the shutout behind a back line of Bailey Woods, Marley Labishak, Lauren Cox, Kylie Secrist, and Savannah Rexroad.

The girls will be jumping on the bus Tuesday, September 13th to head to West Holmes.
