Lady Dawgs volleyball increase their record to 12 – 5 after big conference wins

Vs. Licking Valley (9/29)

The Licking Valley Panthers traveled to Dresden on Monday to take on the Scotties.  The first round was a close battle between the two teams, with Tri-Valley coming out on top 25 – 19.  In the second round, the Lady Dawgs dug in their heels and went to work, pumping out a quick 25 – 11 win.  Round three was still dominated solely by the Scotties as they swept the Panthers 3 – 0 in a final round win of 25 – 14.

For the match, Ingrid Dittmar had three kills, 27 assists, two aces, two digs, two blocks, and 15 out of 16 serving.  Reese Lamonica had six kills, one ace, four digs, and two blocks, serving 10 out of 11. Emma Smith had 12 kills and two blocks. Reagan Lamonica had nine kills, one assist, one ace, seven digs, and one block, serving eight out of nine.

Vs. Crooksville (9/27)

On the road in Crooksville, Tri-Valley was looking for another win as they stepped onto the court to face the Ceramics.  The Crooksville team tried to keep up in round one, but the Scotties had too much intensity and they took down their hosts 25 – 11. The Ceramics were able to hold on for a bit longer in round two, but still couldn’t match the Lady Dawgs, who took round two 25 -17. Tri-Valley swept the Ceramics with a 25 – 14 final round.

For the match, Ingrid Dittmar had four kills, 28 assists, three aces, and served 12 out of 12. Reese Lamonica had three kills, three assists, six aces, and two blocks, and served 22 out of 22. Liv Reffitt had six kills, one assist, three aces, and one dig. Reagan Lamonica had 11 kills, one assist, one ace, and one dig, while serving seven out of eight. Karley Bollinger had six kills and two blocks, and Raegan Durfee served eight out of eight.

Vs. River View (9/25)

On their visit to Dresden, the Lady Black Bears came with a determination. Right from the start, the Scotties were back on the heels, as River View pushed out ahead, taking round one 25 – 18.  Tri-Valley lost ground in the second round as the Black Bears kept their pace and took round two 25 – 12. In a battle to try to stay in the game, the Scotties pushed as hard as they could in round three but finally fell 25 – 21.  

Vs. Sheridan (9/23)

In an epic five-round battle against Sheridan on Tuesday in Thornville, Tri-Valley gave it everything they had. The Lady Dawgs were firing on all cylinders as they started off against the Generals, taking round one quickly at 25 – 15.  Round two saw the Generals turn the tables and take down Tri-Valley 25 – 18. Sheridan kept the pace in round three and edged out the Scotties 25 – 19. Down by two, the Lady Dawgs rallied back in round four to win 25 – 16 and finally took the tiebreaker in round five 15 – 9.

Ingrid Dittmar had five kills, 48 assists, seven aces, five digs, one block, and went 23 for 24 serving. Reese Lamonica had 16 kills, one assist, one ace, nine digs, and two blocks. Liv Reffitt had 14 kills, one ace, six digs, and one block. Reagan Lamonica had 10 kills, four assists, one ace, eight digs, and one block, serving 13 of 14.
