Vs. Crooksville (10/24)
South Zanesville hosted the Ceramics from nearby Crooksville on Friday night. Maysville set out from the start of the game to prove that they could beat their rivals as they pumped out a 7 – 0 lead as the first to hit the scoreboard. The Ceramics were able to score in the second quarter, but not before the Panthers tacked on another of their own to lead before halftime, 14 – 7.
Back on the field, the two teams fought ferociously as the second half unfolded. Maysville kept on target, piling on two more touchdowns while Crooksville added one to trail 27 – 14. By the time the game came to a close, the Panthers had amassed a 40 – 20 win over the Ceramics, wrapping up their regular season of play.
Vs. Meadowbrook (10/17)
Friday night in Byesville, the Panthers challenged the Colts on their home field. Meadowbrook took control of the game early on, building up a 14 – 6 lead before the end of the first half.
After the break, Maysville tried to tie up the score, but the Colts just kept moving the mark, leading 20 – 13 in the third quarter. Maysville was only able to land one more touchdown for the night, as they fell to the Colts 34 – 26.
