Vs. Tri-Valley (9/26)
Maysville knew they would face a challenge when they hosted the Scotties on Friday night. From the start, Tri-Valley jumped out ahead 14 – 0 by the end of the first quarter. The Panthers fought back, closing in on the Dawgs, but couldn’t completely catch them, and they went to halftime down 29 – 21.
The Dawgs stepped onto the field after the break and never let up, as they drove out a total of 57 points in the quarter while holding Maysville to just one more touchdown. The final quarter saw no score from either team, so the Scotties won the evening 57 – 27.
Vs. Coshocton (9/19)
While in Coshocton on Friday night, the Panthers led the charge as they put 14 points on the board before the end of the first period. The Redskins were unable to retort as Maysville continued their barrage with 20 points in the second quarter to lead 34 – 0 at the break.
With a running clock in the second half, the game moved quickly, not allowing much to happen for either team, but Maysville still managed a touchdown in the third and fourth quarters each to put a cap on the evening for a 48 – 0 win.
