Vs. Meadowbrook (9/30)
Maysville High School hosted the Lady Colts on Tuesday. Meadowbrook took charge of the first round, pulling out a 25 – 7 win. The Panthers lost ground to their opponents in the second round as they fell 25 – 5. Round three was a clean sweep for the Colts as they beat the Lady Panthers 25 – 5 and took the match 3 – 0.
The Maysville volleyball team will be traveling to North Zanesville for a match against the Blue Devils on Monday, October 6th, with game time set for 7 PM.
Vs. New Lexington (9/25)
Thursday night, the girls from New Lexington stepped onto the court at Maysville. The first round was a pretty good matchup with New Lexington just pushing by the Lady Panthers 25 – 17. The second round was much quicker, as the Maysville girls struggled to keep New Lexington at bay, and they lost the round 25 – 8. Maysville tried to step it up in the third round but fell to New Lex 25 – 11 for the guests to take a full sweep 3 – 0.
Vs. West Muskingum (9/23)
The Lady Tornadoes hosted their neighbors on Tuesday. The first round on the court went on for a while as the Tornadoes eventually pushed out ahead of the Panthers to win the round 25 – 16. Maysville popped out 17 points in round two, before falling to the Tornadoes yet again. Any ground gained in round two was certainly lost in round three, where the Tornadoes blew past at 25 – 11, taking the match in a clean sweep 3 – 0.
Vs. John Glenn (9/18)
The Maysville volleyball squad rode the bus out to New Concord to play the Lil’ Muskies. Round one of the match was even for a bit, but John Glenn began to push ahead, taking a 25 – 16 win on the round. Round two was so close that the two teams thought they might have to go into extra points, but in the end, the Muskies had a leg up and won the round 25 – 22. The third and final round was completely dominated by the Muskies, taking a quick 25 – 10 win to sweep the Panthers 3 – 0.
Vs. Philo (9/16)
The Lady Panthers invited the Philo Lady Electrics over the hill. In a three-round sweep, Philo took down the Panthers while controlling the court in all three rounds to win 3 – 0.
