Unlike the first matchup between Tri-Valley and Morgan, which was an 8-0 victory to the Scotties, this matchup provided quite a different ending.
Tri-Valley posted 15 shots on goal while Morgan supplied 4 shots total in the match. The delicate score of 1-0 came in the 78th minute of play when Hayden Whitt connected with the head of Sean Lacy. The daunting MVL matchup has always been a tough game in McConnellsville. Morgan is always strong on their field and they were determined through a massive defensive effort to pull out a 0-0 draw. Had it not been for a changed corner-kick call, that could’ve been the case. Morgan fought off every attack Tri-Valley could offer for 78 minutes, but they still came up short to the Scotties once again. Morgan has been 2nd to Tri-Valley for the past two seasons as they posted their best seasons in school history. Tri-Valley moved to 9-1-0 with the win and posted their 7th shutout of the season.
