Scotties Boys Basketball beat Maysville

Tuesday, December 18th, at the Coach Rich Longaberger Court the Tri-Valley boys varsity basketball team took on the Maysville Panthers.

The Dawgs definitely seemed to be hitting their stride as the took the lead early on in the game and never let go of it. Scotties dominated the court with Maysville left to try and play catch-up but not able to do so.

To start the first period off right , #5 Keaton Williams put 6 points on the board, along with his teammate #23 Jack Lyall who had five in the first period of play. With the addition of some other great plays the Scotties were up 17-6 by the end of the first.

Maysville tried to fight back against the Dawgs but they were unable to break the lead, although they did draw in a little closer by the end of the half, but the Scotties were on a roll and ended the half at 29-20 against the Panthers.

After the half Tri-Valley came back with new energy landing shot after shot and pushing the score ahead at a rate 4 times faster than the Panthers. By the end of the third the score was 45 – 24.

In the final quarter of play the scores were dropping off on both sides of the court but that didn’t stop the Scotties from ending the night with a 25 point advantage over Maysville. The game final was 56 – 31 Tri-Valley, way to go Dawgs!!
