Scotties Face Shocking Loss to The Electrics

Tri-Valley is hoping that the fumbling loss to Philo will not keep them out of the MVL running as they dropped the game against the Electrics 27-17 on Friday, September 27th.

A fumble is what started things rolling in the wrong direction as Tri-Valley fumbled the ball on their first drive against Philo, and the Electrics recovered it and capitalized on the turnover in their very first official offensive play of the game landing a touchdown and putting themselves on the board at 7 – 0 against Tri-Valley. As the first quarter continued, the Electrics continued to show a strong offense with the ability to push through and gain first downs, effectively picking up another touchdown and landing the score at 14 – 0. However, before the end of the first quarter Tri-Valley was making a drive of their own that ended in a completed field goal attempt which put the Scotties on the board with 3 points of their own and sending them into the second quarter with Philo at 14 against Tri-Valley at 3.

The beginning of the second quarter was answered with Philo completing their own field goal popping the score up to 17 – 3. However on the kickoff return the Scotties sprang to life when #22 Blake Sands caught the ball and blazed it up the field for an outstanding 82-yard touchdown run that pushed the Scotties score to 10 against the Philo 17. For the next 9 minutes the two teams battled back and fourth both getting within yards of a touchdown but neither able to punch through. With just 1 second left on the clock Philo completed a 31 yard field goal attempt to end the half at Philo 20 – Tri-Valley 10.

In the third quarter the Scotties held off the Electrics as much as they could and continued to push for their own goals. With only 3:27 left in the third quarter Philo managed to drive all the way to the 1 yard line where they pushed it through into the end zone and finished the quarter with a score of 27 – 10 against the Dawgs.

The last 12 minutes of the game saw the Scotties make there own push to the 1 yard line where #33 Jordan Pantaleo punched through the defense to get the final touchdown for Tri-Valley for the game. Unfortunately it was not enough to top the Electrics and they walked away with the “W” at a score of 27 – 17.
