Scotties Varsity Baseball Blanks West Muskingum

On Wednesday, April 24th, the Tri-Valley varsity baseball once again went up against the West Muskingum Tornadoes, and once again showed them mercy in the 5th inning winning the game 10 – 0.

Tri-Valley started off right with one run on the board in the first inning thanks to a sacrifice fly to left field by #16 Justin Fernburg landing the score at 1 – 0 at the end of the inning.

In the second inning the Scotties opened the flood gates after two outs in the inning started off by a single by #13 Brandon Chambers that brought in #22 Kaden Lawler for a score. #5 Ty Smith followed up with a line drive to center bringing in Chambers for a run and as the center fielder had a hard time coming up with the ball Skye Bryan scored as well. Next at bat was #6 Aiden Fritter who singled on a drive to center bringing in the fourth run of the inning. The runs continued when #22 Kaden Lawler smacked a single to third advancing Fritter for a score. On deck was #25 Tyler McClellan who singled to left field bringing in two runs and bringing the score to 8 – 0 Scotties.

The third inning brought in a run thanks to an error by the second baseman bringing in #13 Brandon Chambers and the score to 9 – 0 Scotties.

The final score came in the fifth inning on a line drive by #5 Ty Smith with a game-ending score of 10 – 0 Tri-Valley.

Pitcher Dalton Anker got the win for Tri-Valley. He went five innings, with zero runs on five hits, striking out 9 players. Way to go Dawgs!
