Saturday, August 27th, the Scotties cross country teams traveled to Pickerington for the Pickerington North XC Classic. In their first big outing of the season, the team was raring to go.

Starting off the meet for the day was the boys team, of which Dalton Crozier placed 13th with a time of 17.44.3. Next for the boys was William Dearing who placed 108th with a time of 20.15.3. Ben Kennedy ran in at 201st with a time of 22.47.4. Aidan Miller came in a 386th with a time of 25.23.8. Finishing up for the Scotties boys was Ethan Dusenbery who came in 440th with a time of 29.52.4.
After the boys finished up the girls team was next to take the mark. Heading up the Lady Dawgs was Taylor Crozier in 3rd place with a time of 20.37.1. Next across the finish line in 59th place was Braylie Burkey with a time of 23.33.3. Kelcie Hopper pulled out 146th place for the girls with a time of 27.13.12. Lizzie Mjolhus came in at 159th place with a time of 27.36.0. Ellie Folden got 206th place with a time of 30.56.0. Gabby Jordan crossed the line at 238th with a time of 36.11.7. Shelby Patterson rounded out the team’s scoring coming in at 247th with a time of 38.47.7
After their long meet at Pickerington, the team recouped for only a couple of days before heading off to the Hux Utica Invite on Tuesday, August 30th.
This time the girls team started off the race for the day and Lady Dawg Taylor Crozier grabbed the coveted first place position for the team with a time of 22.30.30. Braylie Burkey came in 14th with a time of 26.24.80. Kelcie Hopper crossed the line in 35th position with a time of 32.22.05. Ellie Folden followed shortly after Hopper in 38th spot with a time of 13.32.32. Lizzie Mjolhus was hot on her heels in 39th with a time of 13.32.56, and Shelby Patterson finished off for the girls team in 52nd place with a time of 42.37.06.
The boys team stepped up next and Dalton Crozier grabbed a podium position in 4th place with a time of 19.19.77. William Dearing ran across the finish line in 28th with a time of 23.27.72. Ben Kennedy was 45th with a time of 26.18.19. Ethan Dusenbery grabbed 50th place with a time of 27.23.04, and Aidan Miller followed closely behind in 59th position with a time of 32.25.27.
The Tri-Valley cross country team is set to race again at the McGowan Invite at Watkins Memorial on Saturday, September 10th.
