This year Tri-Valley selected four deserving individuals to grace the hallowed Sports Hall Of Fame. The ceremony took place on Friday, September 2nd in front of a packed crowd at Jack Anderson Stadium in Dresden, just prior to the Tri-Valley Football game versus the Jackson Ironmen.
The first set of inductees of the evening were a triad of Scotties Girls varsity basketball standout athletes who were part of the Tri-Valley class of 2010.

Hanna Luburgh – 2010 Tri-Valley Graduate
Hanna was a four-year varsity player for Tri-Valley with 1,291 career points for the Lady Dawgs, she was a letter winner for all four years as well as an all-conference player who started 91 varsity games for the Scotties. She is 2nd in career points for Tri-Valley’s girls basketball all-time list, and 1st in field goal percentage (57.5%). Hanna is currently 2nd in all-time career rebounding at 636 rebounds, and 2nd in all-time career free throw percentage with 80.5%. Luburgh was named 1st team All-Muskingum Valley three times in her career and player of the year along with District Player of the Year. Twice she was named 3rd team All-Ohio and won an Academic All-Ohio honor in basketball for the 2010 season. As a well-rounded athlete, Hanna was also a two-year letter winner for volleyball and was part of the 2007 MVL title team.

Alyssa Miller Thomas – 2010 Tri-Valley Graduate
Alyssa was a stand-out athlete in two sports for Tri-Valley lettering in both volleyball and basketball all four years of her high school career and earned all-conference honors in both as well. For basketball, Alyssa had 763 career points and was part of a squad that won three straight MVL titles. She leads the all-time leaderboard with a free throw percentage at 81.6% and a single-season free throw percentage of 86.3%. In volleyball, Thomas won accolades as 1st team All-Muskingum Valley twice and was a two-time team MVP and District Player of the Year in 2009. As well as volleyball and basketball Alyssa took MVL and District runner-up in track and field for the mile run her freshman year at Tri-Valley.

Carly Young Knapp – 2010 Tri-Valley Graduate
Carly is part of the TVHS 1,000 point club for basketball with a career total of 1,003 points and that point total lands her in 7th place on the girls basketball all-time list as well as holding 4th place in all-time career field goal percentage of 54.8% and 3rd in all-time three-point scoring percentage of 34.5%. She garnered 1st team All-Muskingum Valley twice as well as honorable mention in All-Ohio Basketball with Academic All-Ohio Honors in 2010. Carly was a two-year letter winner in volleyball and won honorable mention All-MVL in 2007.

Justin Buttermore – Tri-Valley High School Football Coach 2004-2017
With a record of 124-38 over 14 seasons at Tri-Valley Justin Buttermore has the most wins in TVHS football history. During his career as a Scottie, coach Buttermore won nine MVL titles, seven straight from 2010-2017. He also had 12 straight winning seasons and at one point had a 47-game conference winning streak. His teams made the OHSAA playoffs 10 times, and landed a Division III State Runner-up position in 2017, that same season earning TV’s first Regional Title as well as winning their first Final Four game. Coach Buttermore also served as the school’s athletic director for three years.
