Local teams headline championship games at the Tri-Valley Freshmen Holiday Basketball Tourney on Tuesday, December 31 at Tri-Valley HS. The small school division boys title game tips at 3:15 pm with West Muskingum facing Fairfield Union. Girls championship game is at 3:45 pm between Sheridan and West Muskingum. Large school division boys championship is at 5:45 pm between Tri-Valley and Sheridan.
Consolation games include Ridgewood-Coshocton boys at 2:00 pm, Tri-Valley-River View girls at 2:30 pm, and John Glenn-Bishop Hartley boys at 4:30 pm. Licking Valley -Meadowbrook boys also play at 5:00 pm.
Boys teams are guaranteed three games at the tourney. On Saturday, December 28, Tri-Valley-Ridgewood boys play at 9:30 am followed by Bishop Hartley-Johnstown boys at 10:45 am.
