        Area Middle School gymnasts shine at districts in Columbus

                                                                                   Wednesday,  October  2, gymnasts
                                                                                 from the  area  represented East Musk-
                                                                                 ingum  Middle  school,  Tri-Valley  Middle
                                                                                 school and Zanesville Middle school at
                                                                                 the gymnastics districts In Marysville.
                                                                                   From East  Muskingum,  their lone
                                                                                 representative was  Caroline  Allen  who
                                                                                 placed fifth on beam and seventh over-
                                                                                 all.
                                                                                   Zanesville  also  had  one member
                                                                                 in  M.E.  Hitchens. She  was the  district
                                                                                 champion and finished sixth overall.
                                                                                   Tri-Valley middle school had a four per-
                                                                                 son team consisting of team members
                                                                                 Ava  Sensibaugh, Eva  Prati,  Piper  Star-
                                                                                 key, and Myleigh Hammer. Starkey was
                                                                                 four  on  floor,  fifth  on  bars  and  beam,
                                                                                 and eighth overall. Sensibaugh was 2nd
                                                                                 on beam and floor and was fourth over-
                                                                                 all.  Prati  was fourth  on vault  and  bars
                                                                                 and third in beam and All around. Ham-
                                                                                 mer took second on vault, first in bars,
                                                                                 beam, and floor. She was also the dis-
                                                                                 trict all around champion.
                                                                                   Tri-Valley also came away as the dis-
                                                                                 trict team champions.

        Zanesville’s Marching Blue Devils will compete at OMEA State

        Marching Band Finals making their first appearance in 5 years

        The Zanesville Marching Band performs during the Bonanza of Bands just moments before qualifying

          It was announced during the Bonanza  Hilliard Bradley High School, as well as
